    Job Description

    As a valued colleague on our team, you will assist with supporting the team in applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (such as SAS, Python, and R), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results. Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals, but is not the core focus in the role.

    The SF CFO - Financial Engineering - Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Support Forecast for the Future (F3) initiative and capital cloud migration.
    • Support capital forecast team existing analytical tools & ongoing automation.
    • Develop, implement and validate new business logics and results with future FHFA capital framework policy changes and ad-hoc business needs.
    • Support production work deliverables, e.g. DFAST and MST stress testing forecast runs, when needed

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent

    Skills

    • Skilled in at least one programing language (SAS, Python or R), including design, coding from scratch, and debugging.
    • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
    • Experience in Scaled Agile framework is a plus.
    • Experience in AWS services is a plus, e.g. SageMaker, Redshift, S3, etc.
    • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal.
    • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions.
    • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data.
    • Business Insight including advising, designing business models, interpreting customer and market insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.

    Tools

    • Skilled in SAS, Python, and/or R.
    • Skilled in SQL.
    • Experience in Tableau is a plus.
    • Experience in Excel power pivots and power queries is a plus.
    • Experience with agile framework is a plus.
