    Job Description

    THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE

    As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to the team responsible for applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (such as SAS, Python, and R), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results. Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals, but is not the core focus in the role.

    The Single Family CFO - Financial Engineering - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

    • Develop approach to processing or analyzing large amounts of data efficiently using advanced financial engineering tools and techniques. Determine customer's intended uses for a financial analysis or model.
    • Lead financial analysis or forecasting, which may include scenario or sensitivity analysis, stress testing, or attribution analysis.
    • Execute models and/or interpret model results. Translate the results from the analysis or models for the customer into understandable conclusions.
    • Work directly with model builders to vet new models, suggest changes to existing models, or analyze model performance data.
    • Perform advanced data and systems analysis, validation, and regression testing.
    • Work with Single Family business to provide capital impact analysis for new product, market activity, or complex transactions.
    • Use one or more analytical tools from a suite of mathematical/application tools to perform appropriate analysis on specified product, transaction or market activity that has multiple variables affecting potential outcomes.

    MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCES

    _Functional Skills _

    • 4 years related experience
    • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct analysis independently to address complex business problems / issues
    • Cross-functional business skills with excellent facilitation and communication skills, strong influencing skills, and ability to effectively present to and work with senior management
    • Ability to digest complex issues and communicate in concise manner
    • Ability to perform in high pressure environment requiring effective multi-tasking and prioritization 
    • Ability to evaluate and streamline reporting and ad hoc processes

    Technical Skills

    • Prior programming experience with Python
    • Strong experience with Excel including developing Macros

     

    DESIRED EXPERIENCES

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent
    • Masters in Business highly preferred
    • CPA and CFA highly preferred
    • Background in Economics and/or Finance highly preferred
    • Prior experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI
    • Experience in mortgage industry, risk management and knowledge of capital
    • Experience with R, SAS, SQL, and Anaplan
