Finance Intern - Summer Associate Program (Pittsburgh, PA)
At BNY Mellon, the Summer Associate Program (SAP) provides students with a well-rounded, rewarding experience. You’ll be challenged and inspired as you collaborate and drive diverse projects while developing your knowledge and technical skills. The Summer Associate Program is where great careers begin.
The SAP is designed to give participants an inside look into what it's like to work for a competitive, global financial services organization. With projects specifically chosen to both challenge and provide growth opportunities, summer associates will gain valuable real-world experience working in these different functional areas as well as learning to work together as a collaborative team. In addition to being a part of the SAP, summer associates participate in robust, structured programming focused on BNY Mellon’s company culture, professional development, community outreach, networking, mentoring and more. This program includes:
Robust onboarding and skills training including a start-to-finish mentoring program
Highly visible networking opportunities with other summer associates, senior leaders and executives
Hands-on, self-paced opportunities to learn about different areas of the business and professional development
What Makes Our Program Special
Each summer associate is assigned a meaningful project that challenges him/her to grow professionally throughout the summer.
In addition to receiving feedback and instruction from a direct manager, each summer associate is assigned a formal mentor who will help to further integrate him/her into the organization.
Associates receive high-level exposure by having the opportunity to network and interact with senior leaders and executive management.
The structured programming further introduces summer associates to our various business lines and how they function as a whole along with the company’s culture, mission and values.
Upon successful completion of their summer program, exceptional summer associates are considered first for the next opportunity to grow with BNY Mellon. By applying, rising juniors have the potential to be considered for the subsequent Summer Associate Program and rising seniors may be evaluated for the opportunity to advance into one of BNY Mellon’s exclusive full-time post-graduate programs.
Prior relatable experience in supply chain and/or financial services preferred
Must be enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate (U.S.) or full-time undergraduate degree
