    Job Description

    As an EBI Claims Adjuster employee will be responsible for investigating accidents to determine liability and evaluate injury claims. The Non-Represented Injury Adjuster will analyze police reports and interview accident victims via the telephone, to investigate the cause of the accident, who is at fault, and to what degree. Employee will work directly with customers to guide them through the claims process in a caring and professional manner, and to negotiate fair and equitable settlements. Employee will be challenged to manage multiple cases simultaneously, and document every step of activity for each claim in the system.

    Essential Duties:

    • Investigate and verify coverage
    • Investigate and determine liability
    • Gather and evaluate medical billing and notes
    • Negotiate bodily injury claim settlements
    • Documents all pertinent claim facts into our system
    • Adhere to all regulatory and casualty best practices followed by the company
    • Provide extra-ordinary customer service to all parties involved in claims process

    Requirements:

    • The employee should be/will be trained to be proficient in coverage and liability handling to include complex liability decisions.
    • The ability to communicate with others via the telephone and in writing to discuss liability determination and bodily injury settlements is a vital skill that will be needed to fulfill the requirements of this position.
    • The employee must be able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization of their desk and incoming claims.
    • Casualty claim adjusting experience (1yrs-5yrs)
    • Customer Service experience (1yrs-5yrs)
    • College Degree preferred, but not required if previous experience meets requirements
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs preferred
    • Possess and maintain a Texas P&C License in good standing
    • Other duties as assigned by management and as needed
