PC Technician requires:
One (1) or more years experience as a full-time professional in the field of information technology, with a strong grasp of computer hardware and software
Associate's degree in a computer-sciences related field, or equivalent and demonstrable training and experience. Microsoft certifications are a plus.
Excellent interpersonal communication, customer service, problem solving, and time-management skills. Dedication to on-going technical education, both as a student and a teacher. Able to perform heavy lifting.
PC Technician duties:
• Configures, delivers, and installs PCs, peripherals, and corporate standard software.
• Oversees the building and maintenance of corporate computer images for laptops and desktops.
• Organizes and oversees the return of leased computer equipment, and prepares out-of-date equipment for donation or disposal.
• Provides information for use in management decisions on the selection of desktop, laptop, and computer peripherals.
• Maintains inventory of computers and components.
• Serves as backup to PC support specialists, providing end-user support under their guidance and direction.
• Contributes, as a subject matter expert (SME) to the development, implementation and maintenance of PC-related policies, procedures, and standards that conform with organizational objectives and IT industry best practices.
• Documents technical issues and their resolution, in accordance with corporate standards.
