Freddie Mac’s Internal Audit division plays a meaningful role in the company’s approach to managing risk by providing independent, objective, and value-added assurance of risk management, governance, and controls.
Your Impact:
The Internal Audit Associate will develop and execute procedures to extract, transform, load, analyze and visualize data for audit activities. Audit activities include, but not limited to, audit planning, fieldwork (e.g., substantive control testing), reporting, continuous auditing, business monitoring, and issue follow-ups. The DA Professional will help brainstorm, develop and execute analytics use cases to test management's risk management activities (e.g., controls), or develop and execute automated tools using computer science techniques to increase assurance and reduce the audit footprint. The DA Professional will develop and execute descriptive analytics on large samples or populations and begin to use advanced data quality assessments (e.g., outlier detection, assess distributional shifts in data, how clients deal with missing data) on large data using tools such as R, Python, SAS, and software such as Tableau to visualize data and provide audit insight.
Qualifications:
The Internal Audit Associate typically has a degree in economics, statistics, data science, analytics, IT, computer science, mathematics, finance, or related STEM disciplines and demonstrates intermediate to advanced programming skills in at least one programming language.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $55,000 - $83,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
