Maxim Group is seeking financial consultant trainees for our New York City midtown Manhattan office, specifically within the Merchant Capital Division. The financial consultant position is a highly entrepreneurial role, requiring extensive client development, prospecting, and consultative selling. Day to day job description includes the following.

• Prospecting high net worth individuals and institutions via telephone for investment criteria with a specific focus on private/pre-public investments within the technology, biotechnology sectors.
• We will provide sponsorship for Series 7/Series 63 licensing.

• A general understanding of the financial markets and private/public companies.

Qualifications that may be helpful but are NOT mandatory.

• A series 7 license-not mandatory
• Cold calling experience
• Sales experience
• Bilingual, fluid in additional languages beyond English.
• An interest or background in biotechnology/healthcare/medical sciences.
• An existing network of individuals or institutions who are interested in alternative investments.

• Company events.
• Sponsorship for Series 7 and 63 licenses.
• Direct training from senior level producers with over 26 years experience.
