Experience : 0 Description : Overview Finance& Business Management's (F&BM) goals are to ensure sound controlenvironments and provide financial advice to support the business strategy forthe Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). Within F&BM, the Controllersorganization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity ofthe financial statements (this includesbalance sheet, P&L and risk and financial reporting) and controls overthe transaction cycle; performing critical reporting functions for theorganization, both financial and regulatory, as well as ensuring execution andimplementation of the overall financial architecture. TheCIB External Reporting Controllers team resides within the CIB Controllersorganization. The team is responsible for developing and managing the strategyfor external reporting processes inclusive of the accuracy, timeliness andintegrity of the related information. The team plays a key role in the design,implementation, and oversight of the execution, analysis, control, andgovernance frameworks. Position Description TheCIB ER Controllers team supports the CIB Controller as it relates to reviews,analysis and controls around GAAP financials and External Reporting. This rolewill provide the successful candidate with exposure to external reportinggroups across CIB and Corporate functions, as well as the CIB SeniorManagement. The individual'sresponsibilities will include: + Ensuringeffective internal control framework including analytical reviews for SECexternal filings relating to CIB + Development of end-to-end frameworks to enhanceprocesses and accountability around SECreporting. Implement frameworks by partnering with and seeking inputfrom line of business control teams while also ensuring Corporate drivenrequirements are met + Developand maintain strong working relationships with Finance and Line of businesspartners, facilitate effective communication, and work with business teams toassess needs, understand requirements and syndicate solutions + Facilitate/ co-ordinate CIB review / certification meetings of 10Q / 10K filings with theexternal reporting leads and the Senior Management by setting the agenda, document takeaways and ensurefollow-ups are effectively resolved + Performcross CIB consistency checks, deep dives into potential areas of risk and peeranalysis as it relates to external reporting. Leverage Issues and Errorsmanagement process to identify control weaknesses, and effectively remediatethe issues. + Reviewand analyze the impacts to CIB of any new or revised accounting standards orreporting instructions + Workwith the CIB external reporting leads to ensure compliance with new / revisedrequirements + Attendingto adhoc requests and queries as appropriate, fromthe regulators and across the Firm + Work on projectsdriven by regulatory changes and coordinate across different functional teams + Participatein Firm-wide strategic initiatives related to external reporting + Participatein trainings with respect to SEC reporting requirements + 1-2 years of exposure to accounting, financial statements, external reporting and financial products within in aFinance organization + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred + Experience in Product Control, Financial Control and/or knowledgeof SEC reporting or Regulatory Reporting is a plus + Good understanding of end-to-end reporting and control processes + Strongskills in time management, problem solving, written and oral communication + Excellent analytical, interpersonal and influencing skills + Ability to summarize complex information and deliver it atbusiness executive level + Self-motivated and willing to learn, to take initiative; abilityto thrive in a changing work environment + Abilityto multi task and complete projects on time + Team player, with ability to work effectively across diversefunctions, locations and businesses + Strongrelationship building skills and comfortable with b County : Kings URL : https://nlx.jobsyn.org/c61e4259de7b4cc29c962368c1f1ae27159
