    Fall 2018- Finance Intern Madrid Retirement Advisors powered by LPL Financial - Manhattan Beach, CA Internship Job Description and Program Overview: The Financial Advisory Internship Program develops future leaders of the financial services industry. The Summer 2018 Internship Program runs from August 27th- November 16th and is designed to provide exposure to the analyst and advisor role within financial advising. Interns will have the opportunity to engage with teams and contribute to a strategic project which impacts key drivers of business results. During this program you will have opportunities to work with: * Day to Day Operations * Portfolio design and maintenance * Financial planning * Cold call/ Warm Call * Develop presentations for client workshops Training and Development: Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the program in addition to on the job support, as well as weekly learning seminars that will cover a broad range of topics. In addition you will gain exposure through networking with our fund managers. By the end of the Internship Program students will have the basic knowledge needed to get a start in the financial services industry Role as an intern: * As an intern for LPL financial, students will be engaged in the daily operations of the financial management industry. * Interns will receive training from financial professionals in various segments of the financial world including but not limited to: portfolio design and maintenance, outgoing calls to clients and prospective clients, inviting potential clients to monthly events held in the Manhattan Beach area, financial planning, as well as many other miscellaneous office duties. * Students will receive hands-on experience dealing directly with clients and prospects under the supervision of financial professionals. * Students will participate in weekly learning seminars that will cover a broad range of topics and be visited throughout the semester by fund managers from various companies including AllianceBernstein, Janus Henderson, Pioneer, Oppenheimer, Dreyfus, and more. By the end of the internship students will have the basic knowledge needed to get a start in the financial planning industry. Details for the internship: * Mandatory Orientation: August 22nd from 12:30-2:30pm * Hours: 10 hours a week broken into two five hour days * Mondays/Wednesday from 8:30am-1:30pm or 12:30-5:30pm * Tuesdays/Thursdays from 8:30am-1:30pm or 12:30-5:30pm * Duration- 12 weeks long * Rate of pay: (Unpaid) Job Type: Internship 9 hours ago - save job
