MERS Specialist I LoanCare Servicing Operations 369 reviews - Virginia Beach, VA JOB SUMMARY The purpose of the MERS Representative I position is to complete all MERS-related clerical responsibilities for the organizations retained loan portfolio. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Verify that all new loans boarded to the organizations servicing platform match the data set up in the MERS OnLine Database. * Download daily reports from the MERS OnLine Database and separate all applicable data items by each client listed on the report. * Research, identify and report exceptions daily to the client or internal management team for review and resolution. * Validate Mortgage Identification Numbers (MIN) for correctness on a daily basis.

• Perform daily maintenance of data using various online platforms and software, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets and other various data models. * All other duties as assigned Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * High school diploma or GED and job related course work in computer operations. * Knowledge and work experience with personal computers and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. * Position requires at least 1 year of experience in the banking or mortgage servicing field. * Good written and oral skills are required. * Excellent organizational skills and excellent 10 key typing skills are required.
