Job Description
The Manager, Social Video Creative is part of the Global Content Strategy, Development & Distribution team. This individual will be part of a global team responsible for developing and scaling best-in-class social content on behalf of Visa’s marketing positioning and voice.
This individual will combine a creator mindset with deep understanding of social video formats and best practices to concept, create, and edit social video content that aligns with brand and business objectives. This person should have passion and experience in:
Concepting, editing, and publishing “made for social” videos across priority social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X.
Editing video content for real-time/on-site activations, using both standard editing (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro) and in-app tools (e.g. CapCut).
Partnering with Social Creatives and Social Strategists to dream up and create reactive and always-on content at the intersection of on-trend and on-brand.
Moving from initial concept to published content at the speed of social on both high-budget and quick-turn projects.
Translating knowledge of the creator and content landscape – particularly across Sports, Music, and Travel – to develop videos for maximum engagement and relevance.
Essential Functions:
Concept, edit and produce social video content designed to break through on priority social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and X.
Package, capture, and edit video assets to create social content with clear storylines and visual hooks that align with best practices and trends.
Design thumbnail images and write titles/descriptions that command attention.
Create attention-grabbing dynamic captions that bring together platform best practices and Visa’s brand.
Set and model high creative standards, leading through example and inspiring partnership and learning across cross-functional and regional teams.
Combine content creation best practices, social platform nuances, and cultural trends into strategic recommendations and creative territories.
Partner with a team of Creative, Strategy, Editorial, and Community specialists to translate priority brand campaigns and sponsorships into social-first experiences and extensions.
Mine, track, and identify trends from the Visa community that can inform future strategies, franchises and campaigns.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
•5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least
2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
•6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years
of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•4+ years of experience in social creative or video editing roles for a global
brand, agency, or creator team. Experience across Sports, Music, or Travel
preferred.
•A compelling portfolio of social video work across multiple platforms.
•Fluency creating basic motion graphics and animations a plus.
•Basic experience shooting social-first video on industry standard equipment
(e.g. DJI Osmo Pocket series, DSLR, etc.).
•Deep understanding of the Creator landscape, including trends and platform
nuances.
•Deep experience with social media platforms, as demonstrated through an
understanding of the unique creative formats, algorithms and communities of
each major platform.
•Ability to ideate, refine, and implement new content/creative strategies and
formats across multiple social platforms and content types (tentpole, always-
on, reactive).
•Experience collaborating with internal and external teams in social-first
brainstorms.
•Extremely organized with keen attention to detail.
•Experience collaborating across complex global teams.
•Bias for action, not bureaucracy. Able to act quickly while rallying cross-
functional teams.
•Proven ability to drive results with a high degree of personal initiative and
subject matter expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited
resources.
Additional Information
** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.
** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 119,100 to 191,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
