    Description

    The Membership Analyst position's primary purpose and overall role is to assist in the due diligence review of member firms and certain incentive program applications across all 4 CME Group exchanges. With manager assistance, applications and required supporting documentation are thoroughly reviewed and analyzed to determine whether an applicant satisfies minimum applicable Exchange and CME Group fee policy requirements, stated membership or incentive program requirements and other applicable regulatory rules and regulations. In addition, this position acts as the primary liaison to provide efficient, effective, and pleasant assistance and address inquiries and concerns of internal and external customers.

    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Complete projects per departmental standards for timeliness, responsiveness, initiative, quality, and communication.

    • Customer Service - With assistance, provide efficient, effective, and pleasant assistance and address inquiries and concerns for both internal and external customers. Use available resources to provide potential customers with timely and accurate information. Coordinate and schedule meetings with senior members of the membership team and potential and existing firms and firm representatives.

    • Databases - Update and maintain Drawbridge application system and Fortress database.

    • Membership Applications - With assistance, perform a detailed review of firm applications and supporting documentation including analyzing financial statements, firm incorporation documents, account statements, ownership charts and other information. Utilize available resources, judgment and prior precedence to determine eligibility with CME Group, regulatory and program requirements.

    • With assistance, achieve a complete understanding of various systems (including but not limited to) Exchange Fee System, fee schedules, and rules and regulations (e.g. fee policy bulletins, market advisories, Exchange rules, Q&A guides).

    Skills & Software Requirements:

    • Working knowledge of Word and Excel

    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, relate, and analyze information

    • Ability to read and digest large volumes of institutional documents

    • Professional skepticism

    Education:

    • Bachelor of Science in business, information technology, accounting, or finance preferred
