Job Summary To collect outstanding loan balances in order to meet the collection goals of the department. Job Description LOCATION Asset Management Team 735 S State Street Salt Lake City, UT 84111 SCHEDULE Full-Time; Monday - Friday To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. * Ensures the needs of the owners and the credit union are met through professional, legal and effective collection procedures. * Exemplifies as a team member to promote and maintain effective partnerships with team and customers. * Incorporates MACU values and philosophy while fulfilling your responsibilities as a representative of the Loan Control department and the credit union. * Collects a category of assigned accounts. * Collects past due loans, resolve problems with member loans and accurately document all collection information to minimize credit union losses. * Counsels with members by telephone and mail regarding loan problems, and record any contact made with members. * Keys file maintenance on accounts and transfers payments on delinquent accounts. * Performs other duties as assigned. Experience One to three years of similar or related experience; knowledge of credit union collection policies and procedures preferred Education High school diploma or equivalent ~ Licenses, Certificates, Registrations n/a Computer/Office Equipment Skills Intermediate to skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) Managerial Responsibility Has no supervisory/managerial responsibilities Language Skills Must have the ability to read, understand and carry out instructions in written and oral form. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to perform mathematical calculations.nbsp; Ability to communicate effectively.
