Responsibilities This is an entry level position. Under the general supervision of the Fast Track Supervisor, the fast track adjuster is assigned loss reports and performs duties associated with settling high frequency, low severity automobile insurance claims with a focus on customer service, prompt investigation and rapid disposition. This position specializes in settling routine 1st and 3rd party material damage automobile insurance claims quickly within designated authority levels while maintaining a low volume of pending inventory. This position partners with material damage estimators to initiate and manage vehicle repairs. The Fast Track Adjuster is responsible for investigating and settling automobile accident claims over the phone, through written correspondence and available technology. Essential Job Responsibilities Providing excellent customer service by phone or through written correspondence. Conduct fast, thorough and accurate investigations which can include obtaining necessary documents and forms from claimants and insureds. Evaluate and investigate policy coverage, liability and damages in a timely manner following a set of general claim and statutory guidelines. Establish initial reserves for all potential exposures and adjust as appropriate throughout the claim. Communicate with involved parties and negotiate appropriate settlements with claimants, insureds and in some cases body shops and attorneys within approved payment authority. Determines appropriate method of inspection based on loss facts and ensures timely completion of appraisals for accident related damages. Establish and maintain appropriate management of assigned inventory following company guidelines. Review and process mail relating to assigned claims. Recognize recovery opportunities relating to subrogation and salvage. Recognize suspicious claim characteristics and the NICB indicators of fraud and refer such claims to the Special Investigations Unit for review. May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 0 1 year of insurance claims, customer service, sales and/or underwriting experience preferred, but will also accept experience in the general service industry. Proficient PC and Windows skills. Effective verbal and written communication, time management, critical thinking, organization and negotiation skills. Proven ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) as well as the calculation of averages and percentages. Current adjusting license or ability to acquire insurance adjuster license in the states of operation as required. Education Requirements Undergraduate Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. #CB
