    PLAZA HOME MORTGAGE, INC., a national wholesale and correspondent mortgage company has full-time opportunity for a LOAN REGISTRATION SPECIALIST to join our NATIONAL WHOLESALE DIVISION!     PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TO ORGANIZATION:

    This position is responsible for the boarding of all new loans including providing the proper initial disclosures as required by law

    ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Must comply with all BSA/AML requirements as well as any mandatory changes. The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager. Job duties may change as required by needs of company. Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.

     

    1. Monitor all new loan submissions from Plaza’s Broker/Correspondent Portal to Plaza’s Internal LO team

    2. Perform Data Entry in Plaza's LOS

    3. Ensure 3.2 file has imported

    4. Run Compliance Ease and check /review QM findings for pass/safe harbor

    5. Complete fees in DT from itemization

    6. Prepare and send Initial Disclosures in Docu-Tech

    7. Verify disclosures and ensure compliance forms are properly executed and in file:

    · Plaza required Disclosures

    · State required Disclosures, in accordance with the State Disclosure Matrix

    · GFE and SPL (Review for all RESPA requirements)

    · When required, review TILA from correspondents

    · Fee Itemization

    1. Review the Initial 1003 for completeness

    2. Verify NMLS# and name for company and loan officer, and match information to 1003 data

    3. Confirm HMDA is complete

    4. Check and upload USPS for address accuracy

    5. When applicable, print property tax info to file from county website, if needed

    6. Enter key factors into Plaza's LOS from credit report

    7. If required, confirm the AUS has been assigned to Plaza

    8. Complete Loan Registration checklists

    9. Review file to determine if ready to underwrite

    10. Batch Fraud-Guard

    11. Create a virtual folder on the Y drive (a.k.a. virtual SKINNY FILE). Place in the file: Hazard worksheet, Income Worksheet, Tax Worksheet

    12. Contact and follow up with Broker

    13. Send emails to Broker to follow up on skinny or full files, if applicable

    14. Stay current with State and Federal industry regulations

    15. Review Pipeline tool on the Intranet

    16. Other duties as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred

    · Demonstrated skill in monitoring and overseeing loan production pipeline

    · Proficiency with computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Internet Browsers, and email functions required

    · Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

    · Strong attention to detail, and ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work

    · Solid organizational and problem-solving skills

    · Capability of multi-tasking in fast-paced environment with heavy volume of transactions

    · Proven aptitude to work in both a team and individual environment

    · Sound judgment skills essential to make quick decisions within written policy and standard operating procedures

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

    This position receives daily guidance and instruction from Loan Registration Team Lead and/or Assistant Vice President.

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    INTERACTION WITH OTHERS:

    Internally: Corporate executives/manager, company National Wholesale Division managers, and staff (including Account Executives, Client Service Representatives, Wholesale Loan Processors, Underwriters, Loan Registration Specialists, and Closer/Funders).

     

    Externally: Approved Bankers, Brokers/Correspondents, Investors, Mortgage Insurers, and other industry partners.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:

    This position requires constant talking, hearing, and use of hands and fingers, as well as frequent standing and walking as well as occasional stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, bending at waist, crouching and reaching with hands and arms. Incumbent must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Good vision at both close range and at distance is required.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

    This position works primarily indoors in an office setting with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. A moderate noise level is typical for the work environment of this job. Some rare travel by car or plane may be required.
