    The Basics of a Product Specialist role:

    • Schedule Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
    • Occasional weekends
    • Ability to work hybrid

    What you'll do as a Product Specialist:

    In the Product Specialist role, you will support the ongoing enhancement, maintenance, and strategy for the assigned product. Assist in the development of the product roadmap by collaborating with all departments and external vendor partners. Ensure that all integrated software and applications deliver full functionality. Track and report on product metrics. Provide support to credit union team members to assure are positioned to provide a top-tier member experience.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Enact organizational change by engaging and collaborating with credit union team members and external vendors to ensure the capabilities of the product and integrated applications are aligned with and in support of the strategic plan.
    • Responsible for day-to-day operations and processing, including developing and generating reports in support of business needs. Works with team members to schedule and automate operations and processing duties where applicable in order to maximize product team focus on product roadmap.
    • Utilize a data driven approach to evaluate current performance of the product and related applications and make recommendations focused on continually improving employee and member experience.
    • Contribute to the development of the product roadmap. This will include leveraging employee feedback and translating this feedback into business requirements. Assists product owner in the delivery of these enhancements and implementations.
    • Ensure that internal training is established for key feature functionalities and works with appropriate teams to confirm that frontline staff maximize utilization of features and enhancements.
    • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and assist with departmental system reviews in order to develop best practices with a focus on creating efficiency and consistency in frontline processes. Enhance continuity of member experience across delivery channels including in branch, over the phone, and mobile platforms
    • Establish project timelines and milestones. Leverage project schedule to manage the work and track progress of task completion. Coordinate project related activities and manage the efforts of internal and external project team members. Communicate in a manner that provides clear, concise, and accurate information. Keep stakeholders and project team members informed.
    • Identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency and member/employee satisfaction as applicable and make recommendations for product team to enact.
    • Perform recurring administrative operator or maintenance tasks as required. These activities can occur after hours and weekends including on holidays.
    • Provide support in data gathering, coordinating, and responding to risk assessments and audits.
    • Assist in creating and maintaining documentation that serves as Atlas and training manual.
    • Assist in development and management of the IT Budget.
    • Provide helpdesk assistance when needed.
    • Review and/or coordinate vendor management activities.
    • Network with appropriate internal and external groups to stay ahead of trends in FinTech and related systems.
    • Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures. The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
    • Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
