Project Magnus is a global reporting improvement program, covering Financial and Regulatory Reporting Risk, with primary focus on the accuracy of regulatory (non-SOX) reporting across the Americas region and Group. Project Magnus will define and implement globally-consistent control standards across end-to-end processes for the most critical regulatory reports and also uplift the regulatory reporting inventory management framework and systems, with the ultimate goal of delivering strategic, preventative and integrated control design and execution along with standardization and simplification of reporting processes, systems and data architecture.
HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
As a U.S. Regulatory Reporting Process and Controls Expert, you will be responsible for documenting the regulatory processes, reviewing controls and uplifting control documentation. This role will be instrumental in the delivery of global Project Magnus objectives with primary focus on strengthening the US regulatory reporting control environment and simplifying various processes supporting our most critical regulatory reports.
Documentation of the process flows and controls for each Regulatory Reporting Schedule, and where there is a data provider, ensure the data provider has uplifted their Risk Control Assessment (RCA) to include appropriate Regulatory Reporting Controls
Provision of inputs and status updates to regional and/or global Project Magnus Steering Committees and US other executive meetings (e.g., US Audit Committee and US Executive Committee)
Support of the Americas regional Magnus team with alignment of other in-flight US remediation programs with design principles and control outcomes required to meet Magnus standards
The role is part of the current Transformation program. The Transformation program is expected to continue through the end of 12/30/2024.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $101,700 and $152,500.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

YOU’LL LIKELY HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
You will Ideally have 5-7 years of data/process flow development and controls experience, leadership experience and/or regulatory reporting experience
You’ll possess strong cross-functional relationships and/or be able to quickly build new relationships
You will have experience with HSBC’s risk management framework and an Audit background are pluses
