    Mortgage Banking Intern (Temporary) Job Locations US-GA-Kennesaw Job ID 2018-4967 Overview This internship is an entry-level, temporary position allowing an individual to gain experience and knowledge in the mortgage banking industry. This position will work alongside managers and employees in the mortgage lending division of the Bank. Duties are assigned based upon the rotation of departments. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: There is minimum discomfort from noise in this area. Detailed instructions and procedures to be followed in a potentially hazardous condition (i.e. robbery) are received to minimize the risk. Responsibilities Work with Setup Coordinator(s) and Processing departments to learn processes and procedures, gain perspective and build knowledge base of Mortgage operations, Order and review appraisal, title, homeowners insurance, tax transcripts, USPS and flood certificates, Communicate status updates to Processor, Loan Officer and Loan Officer Assistant for appraisal, title, homeowners insurance, tax transcripts, USPS and flood certificates, Request any additional documentation or information from processors required on the documents listed above, Maintain information in MortgageBot and documentation in Public Folders, Participate in weekly pipeline management calls with Processing Manager, Production Manager, Processor, Loan Officer and Loan Officer Assistant, Assist Processing Manager with pipleline reporting, Assist assigned Processor(s) with Verbal Verification of Employment and Undisclosed Debt Monitoring required for closing, and Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Open to all Undergraduate or Graduate students; special consideration given to Business, Economics, Finance or Psychology majors. Ability to learn and understand the responsibilities of the various mortgage departments within the bank. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, policies, procedures, and federal and state regulations. Ability to learn mortgage software systems, Detail oriented and organized, and Motivated and driven personality .
