Under immediate supervision, the Research Associate I is primarily responsible for providing information and data gathering, analysis, modeling, and organizational support to the senior level Research Analysts. Should be adept at or able to quickly learn and apply the core research foundation skills including accounting, finance, valuation, modeling, and proficient verbal and written communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITIES

• Excellent programming skills particularly Python coding skills (Pandas/NumPy).
• Monitor news, events, index announcements as well as and market changes for index members.
• Knowledge of statistics as well as statistical knowledge and ease of working with and analyzing large datasets for purposes of quantitative modeling.
• Build and maintain Excel-based financial models.
• Formulate mathematical or simulation models of problems, relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives, conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters.
• Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy, reformulate models as necessary.
• Building and updating comp sheets.
• Managing the databases and electronic data services (i.e. Bloomberg, FacSet, etc.).
• Meet the special projects demands of the senior level Research Analysts.
• Use all resources to determine and locate relevant date.
• Build industry knowledge and contacts.

*Role is 5 days a week in the office.

Minimum salary: $90,000

Maximum salary: $100,000

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum required: bachelor's degree.
• Minimum required: 0 to 2 years of Financial Services or relevant industry experience.
