    Job Description

    Role Summary:
    The SAP MM Analyst will be responsible for managing Summit’s SAP MM (Material Management) functionality, ensuring alignment with current and future business requirements. This role involves developing and optimizing SAP MM processes, collaborating with key stakeholders, and providing system support and enhancements within the SAP environment.

    MUST be willing to relocate to Albuquerque, NM

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Detailed knowledge of Material Management (MM) and Logistics processes, including procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification.
    • Translate business requirements into effective SAP MM solutions while ensuring system alignment with business needs.
    • Lead system configuration, process improvements, and SAP MM enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
    • Perform unit, integration, and regression testing for SAP MM enhancements and system changes.
    • Develop user guides, procedural documentation, and training materials, and conduct training sessions as needed.
    • Analyze and resolve SAP MM-related issues, ensuring seamless system performance.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to optimize purchasing workflows and integrate SAP MM with other SAP modules, such as FI (Finance), SD (Sales & Distribution), and WM (Warehouse Management).
    • Participate in SAP upgrades, patches, and new system implementations.
    • Manage small to medium-sized projects, ensuring timely execution and successful delivery.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Essential Qualifications & Experience:

    • 5+ years of SAP MM experience, with a strong focus on purchasing and procurement processes.
    • Expertise in purchase orders, inventory management, and invoice verification.
    • Experience in a wholesale distribution environment is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of SAP ECC 6.0 with exposure to S/4HANA migration projects.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for SAP MM-related issues.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and Word.

    Preferred Skills & Experience:

    • Experience with SAP MM integration with FI, SD, and WM modules.
    • Familiarity with SAP pricing module and sales processes.
    • Experience with third-party tools like GAINS (Demand Planning) and WLINK (EDI, Logistics Integration).
    • Knowledge of EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 855, 856).
    • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

    • Primarily office-based, with 85%+ of work performed at a desk using a computer.
    • Minimal physical effort required; regular use of a keyboard, visual acuity, and communication skills needed.
    • Occasional travel to other Summit locations or third-party training facilities.
    • Ability to climb stairs as needed.
