The ideal candidate for the position will be completing his/her junior year with an anticipated graduation date in either winter 2019 or spring 2020 with a Bachelors degree in Business or Actuary/Risk Management. The ideal candidate for this position will be available to start the internship during the winter break of 2018. This is a year-round internship; during the school year, this position is part-time (approximately 15/20 hours per week) based on your class schedule and our companys business hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the summer and school breaks, the position is 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Be part of the underwriting process by assisting with underwriting task such as updating underwriting files, importing websites, diagrams, aerial photos, ITV evaluation, loss run evaluation, MVR evaluation, etc.Working with UnderwritersAd-hoc project work as assignedRiding with and assisting Risk Management ConsultantsRiding with and assisting Market Managers Qualifications Self-starterAble to work independently and as part of a teamAble to come to conclusions after analyzing set of facts, based on information provided during trainingWillingness to do limited local travelingAble to work in the following software --- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookLooking for undergraduate entering into their junior or senior year with a business focused degree.
