    Job Description

    Visa is seeking a passionate, authentic, dynamic and results-oriented leader to join the Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) team as the Senior Manager, Finance Systems Portfolio Management. FSS is responsible for driving changes to Finance technology and tools and is currently working directly with the Finance Leadership team to design the future architecture and drive the Finance Technology modernization roadmap.

    Visa has established a Finance Velocity Office (FVO) to build a foundation that supports the growth and complexity of our business and improves the day-to-day interactions of our Finance teams. FSS team is working tightly with the broader FVO to implement technology to achieve meaningful, sustainable change and enable long-term growth.

    The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders across Finance, IT and the broader business to understand needs, identify improvement opportunities to develop and execute on the roadmap to accelerate our path to building a world-class finance function.

    Responsibilities and key success criteria:

    • Translating finance vision for the future into a world-class technology end-state architecture.
    • Development and management of the end-state architecture, and roadmap for the end-state architecture. Design/facilitate sessions for alignment of end-state and roadmap. Work with third-party vendors and consulting companies for the assessments.
    • Development and execution of major roadmap initiatives.
    • Drive strategic decks and communication and develop compelling business cases and use cases as needed to support speedy decisioning by Finance Leadership.
    • Analyze current state and business needs using industry best practices to deliver recommendations.
    • Develop and adopt clear program manager tool kit, methodology and approach to drive standardization across Finance, Product and Technology.
    • Implement and function in an Agile Framework, adopting and implementing Product Lifecycle Management.
    • Support QBR (quarterly business reviews) practices, engage technology partners along the way to optimize portfolio, drive optimization levers, ensure trade-offs and support new investment needs thru clear and compelling business cases, etc.
    • Work closely with Technology partners on the day-to-day execution of roadmap initiatives and ongoing BAU (Fixes, Enhancements).
    • Strategic and forward-looking thinking with a tendency for looking at solutions in a holistic manner.
    • Experience overseeing large, complex, global transformations with a bias for action.
    • Work successfully in a matrixed environment, with an ability to influence without authority by using subject matter expertise and facts.

    This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

    Basic Qualifications:
    • 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Technology Consulting experience preferred.
    • Experience designing and executing a finance transformation.
    • Experience working on multi-stakeholder initiatives, focused on improving the customer experience.
    • Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills in a global, matrixed environment with cross-functional teams.

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,100 to 230,900 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
