    Position Overview

    The Manager, Strategy, Performance, and Insights will focus on driving strategic growth opportunities by exploring and uncovering actionable insights, delving into data beyond standard performance metrics. This role thrives on curiosity—asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, and identifying growth opportunities that are not immediately obvious. By utilizing data-driven strategies and insights, the Manager will help drive growth and innovation across Visa’s Authorize.net (ANET) payment gateway and Verifi dispute management platform. A key aspect of the role is transforming complex data into actionable recommendations and working cross-functionally to implement initiatives that enhance business performance and achieve strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Analytics & Performance Management

    • Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover growth opportunities, assess performance, and support data-driven decision-making for business priorities.

    • Use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create compelling narratives that simplify complex datasets and drive actionable insights.

    • Translate data into actionable insights that guide senior stakeholders in strategic decision-making.

    2. Strategic Planning & Execution

    • Contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies for businesses using the ANET and Verifi platforms, combining market insights, competitive analysis, and product opportunities.

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

    • Participate in strategic projects that directly impact the organization’s long-term goals and performance.

    3. Thought Leadership & Curiosity

    • Promote a culture of curiosity and data-driven decision-making, continually seeking out new questions and areas of exploration.

    • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging business models, and internal performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and innovative strategies.

    • Recommend new tools and techniques to deepen insights and uncover opportunities beyond routine performance data.

    4. Insights-Driven Go-to-Market (GTM) Support

    • Provide data-driven insights to inform go-to-market strategies for both new and existing products, with a focus on helping small businesses grow and differentiate in key markets.

    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to translate these insights into messaging that drives demand and increases brand awareness.

    • Support the GTM process by analyzing market and competitive dynamics, helping inform product positioning and enhancements.

    5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with teams across the organization, ensuring that business insights are actionable and integrated into product development and go-to-market strategies.

    • Collaborate in a matrixed environment with finance, product, engineering, and marketing teams to drive results and deliver impactful outcomes for business initiatives.

    • Contribute to cross-functional efforts in solving complex challenges and ensuring timely execution of strategic initiatives.

    Office locations: Foster City, CA, San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA and NY (remote)

    This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

    Basic Qualifications
    • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualifications
    • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
    • 5+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, or business insights roles.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts and data into clear, actionable recommendations.
    • Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
    • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
    • Experience with building and maintaining performance management dashboards.
    • Advanced Degree (MBA, PhD) in a relevant field such as Business Analytics, Strategic Management, or Data Science.
    • Experience in the payments industry or with small business solutions.
    • Proven experience in supporting go-to-market strategies and driving business growth through insights.
    • Management or strategy consulting experience.
    • Familiarity with tools and frameworks that enhance performance insights and strategy development.

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 119,100 to 191,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
