    Retail Trading Representative -Role: This position involves primarily servicing one of TD Ameritrades largest segments of clients which represents one of the fastest growing groups from a trade activity perspective. Representatives handle inbound and outbound calls, and occasionally inbound emails and chats. All in a fast-paced, market-sensitive environment. Duties include order entry, client and firm risk analysis and management, relationship building, management, and counsel, software tutorials, mentorship of clients through education on trading strategies and products, and gathering assets through negotiation, education, and cross-sell opportunities. They educate on the specifics of the platform and need to have a full understanding of how to use the tools within it. The goal is to help clients develop their trading knowledge and approach, while growing their portfolios by imparting our knowledge and supporting the tools these actively engaged clients use to make them a more sophisticated and successful self-directed investor. Associates in this position will possess a proficient knowledge level of trading equities and options, and a general knowledge of futures and foreign exchange trading. This role impacts not only our clients, but also Retail Trading, Retail Sales, Investor Services, Retail Support and Marketing. -Responsibilities: -Provide direct, real-time support to one of the firms active segments of clients. -Utilize a proficient level of skill and experience to coach clients on market best practices. This Includes: efficient order execution, complex product characteristics, and empowering clients as self-directed traders -Master and teach clients how to use the firms most complex trading platforms (including but not limited to: Thinkorswim, Mobile Trader, and TradeArchitect) allowing clients to harness and maximize TDA technology to increase their trading sophistication. -Interpret client positions and market conditions to urgently present advantages and disadvantages of various strategies, allowing clients to find the best solutions for their trading situation. -Negotiate rates for the client based on revenue and trade activity -Mentor clients around the margin rules and calculations for equity and option positions, and risk management -Perform multiple tasks at one time. This includes addressing client inquiries through multiple channels (telephone, electronic chat, and/or email), to serve multiple demanding trader clients and associates simultaneously to create a superior level of productivity relative to all other client-facing associates. -Effectively identify gaps in client understanding, and address said gaps for the purpose of preventing or limiting future client losses, enhancing their confidence and profit potential, and positively impacting client retention, and loyal customers -Serve as consultant and resource to other TD Ameritrade service teams on all matters related to the markets, equities trading and derivatives trading, including de-escalation of oral and written complaints. -Apply sound judgment and ownership in researching, and solving elaborate and unique trading and non-trading issues, serving as a single point of contact for clients when necessary. -Identify best trading tools to suit clients style and strategy and deliver unparalleled education -Educates on different trading strategies and how to use the different tools available within the trading platforms -Leverage industry knowledge and platform expertise to send well-positioned business leads to our partners in Retail Sales, Education, and Trader Business Development. -Influence and close business for Retails Sales associates by presenting self-directed active trader clients and prospects with industry standard for market understanding -Attract additional assets and business from our fully engaged clients, by meeting their service, education and trading resource needs. -Support internal client education and training, serving as a mentor and/or facilitator for trading related training and processes. -Support partners in other service segments surrounding trading topics via in-person or virtual mentor support. -Enhance our education offerings and support marketing initiatives through teaching of derivatives strategies in daily chat room programs, road shows, and webcasts attended by several active trader clients and prospects -Requirements: -4 Year College Degree -Minimum 1 year related experience; 2+ years experience preferred -Excellent Client Service Skills -Desire to Learn More -Strong Knowledge of Order Types (limit, stop, trailing stop, etc) -Understanding of Options Strategies (Max Profit/Loss, Bullish/Bearish) -Knowledge of our website, platforms, and mobile apps -Tech troubleshooting (ex. Delete UserGUI on Toss) -Understanding of most tools in Toss/Admin -Fundamental Margin Knowledge (Balances, Call types, Day Trading) -Fundamental Trade Inquiry Knowledge (how orders work, pros/cons of order types) -Understanding of the Greeks (what each is and how they apply to strategies) -Knowledge of BOS -Series 7, 63 (or equivalent), required with registration in all 50 states. -Series 3 preferred. -Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
