Analyst, Margin Clearing is responsible for performing functions
necessary to facilitate margin lending, option trading, and short
selling in client margin accounts. Additionally, this position ensures
compliance with house, Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO), and Federal
rules relating to margin and cash trading. The Analyst, Margin Clearing
will assist in all core functional processes to include Cash Accounts,
Day Trading, Portfolio Margin Accounts, Client Requests and Margin ID
Closeouts. * Issue various calls on margin, cash, day trading or
portfolio margin; review account exceptions and make decisions on the
validity of federal and house margin calls based on analysis of account
status and myriad of margin requirements for the products a client
holds. * Monitor all open cash debits and enforce timely resolution of
deficiencies * Monitor/Enforce Day-Trading policies and rules ' Analyze
day-trading activity to ensure compliance with SRO day-trading rules.
Issue, monitor, and close day trading calls as required. * Portfolio
Margin Calls & Equity - issue, monitor, extend & close portfolio margin
calls. * Cash Regulation T - issue, monitor, extends & close cash calls.
- Approval of asset movements out of the margin account. * Requests
submitted for wires, ach, checks need to be reviewed to determine all
wire information is accurate, ensure OFAC check is done and account will
be in good standing when funds leave the account * Processes the
movement of assets between accounts once review is complete * Identify
and resolve problems relating to incorrect option matches and associated
invalid margin requirements. * Analyze transactions for money-laundering
risk indicators * Report any suspicious client activity relating to
asset movement requests * Monitor open margin calls by utilizing system
reports. As calls age and go past due, communicate with internal risk
management teams as to the need to enforce margin calls. * Knowledgeable
of Financial Clearing Systems and Operations * Familiar with business
analytics tools * Familiarity with the Margin business, including a
developed grasp of regulations and rules * Capable of prioritizing and
handling complex tasks efficiently * Able to communicate effectively *
Minimum of One year of brokerage experience * 2 year College Degree *
1-3 year related experience * Military education or experience may be
