POSITION SUMMARY:
TIAAs 2019 Summer Internship Program is an enriching opportunity for college students who want to supplement their academic preparation with a challenging work experience as they launch their professional careers. Successful completion of the internship can lead to a full time career opportunity at TIAA, upon graduation. Summer Interns will work on an exciting mix of strategically-aligned challenging assignments and projects that help drive the achievement of the organization's strategy and mission. Managers and colleagues will work side by side with summer interns to ensure development and learning. Candidates can expect to gain an understanding of TIAA and the Financial Services industry, as well as have opportunities to explore various technology tools, techniques, and disciplines. Successful summer interns will have the opportunity to apply for a full time position in the highly competitive entry-level Technical Associate Program. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS: As part of the Client Services & Technology Summer Intern Program, participants will have the opportunity to experience: Ten weeks doing meaningful and strategic work as part of the CS&T Organization Unique networking opportunities with both senior leaders from CS&T and from across TIAA Ongoing personal and professional development opportunities Opportunities to interact with interns from across TIAA as well as current members of the full-time entry level CS&T Technical Associate Program
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
OPPORTUNITIES: You will have the opportunity to work within exciting new technology areas including: Mobile development (Android & iOS), Python, Java & .NET development, Cloud computing, Big Data, Tableau, Oracle, Hadoop, AngularJS, Python, and many more! The CS&T Technical Summer Internship Program offers you the opportunity to join one of four distinct TRACKS in order to build a skillset that will transform your technical abilities into a fungible skillset vital to a successful career in financial services technology. Application Development (Development, Quality Assurance, User Experience) Data (Data Analytics and Engineering) Process / Operations / Cybersecurity IDEA (Infrastructure & Engineering)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills:
Currently in pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Cyber-Security, Engineering. Rising senior (current junior) or first-year graduate level student Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (2+ years academic or work experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) Extracurricular program participation in major-related areas Overall GPA of 3.0 or better
