    Job Description

Though JP Morgan is a large corporation, our small team conducts research and uses UX design best practices to create hyper-transactional experiences for our internal users of our products at the firm. We are offering the opportunity for interns to contribute directly to the success of these internal products with their design skills: user-centered thinking, prototyping skills, and wireframing are major facets of our work. As a UX Designer/UX Researcher intern at JPMC, you will have hands-on experience designing real world projects, deepening your knowledge, and practicing new skills in partnership with dedicated mentors who will guide you through the journey of your internship.

On our team, we work on a wide variety of products, and need someone who is adaptable, and excited to learn on the job. Representing our UX team to our internal clients, we are looking for someone who is ready to exercise their design mindset, manage clients gracefully, and go above and beyond.

Our UX Internship is a ten-week program centered around supporting budding UX and product design professionals by providing a welcoming and diverse environment to learn and grow in the financial technology space in summer of 2022 starting in June 2022 until the end of August 2022.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with other team members to execute user-centered design solutions

    • Attend remote team and client meetings to determine design needs

    • Assist in projects for internal clients by conducting research, designing, surveys, wirefremes, prototypes, and presenting designs to the team.

    • Communicate the functionality of designs in a concise, impactful manner

    Required Skills

    • Currently enrolled, full-time undergraduate student in your last year of your career, or a master’s student in a graduate program in UX design, product design, interaction design, human computer interaction, visual design or similar

    • Available full time during the internship period.

    • Creative mind with solid knowledge in user experience design, interaction design, or user-centered design equivalent

    • Collaborative and positive approach to teamwork, adding productive feedback to design review sessions and being driven when working individually

    • Quick to learn new skills and software, ask questions, and embrace feedback

    • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

    • Knowledge of prototyping software, preferably Figma

    • Able to show design portfolio, interaction, industrial, or graphic encouraged
