    Job Description

    Credit products annually drive a very large amount of payment volume and generate significant net revenue for Visa, globally and in the US most of all. Our issuing partners utilize these products to serve the needs of hundreds of millions of cardholders, ensuring that consumers can pay with credit at millions of face-to-face and online merchants that accept Visa.

    As the head of US Credit, Benefits, and Affluent Platforms, this role will be responsible for setting and executing on a long-term vision for high growth and better bottom line performance for our credit products and associated card benefits. This individual will lead the development and execution of product strategy, business growth and expansion in key customer segments including affluent and new to credit and go-to-market activities across multiple dimensions in North America. The US credit product office and benefits team will both report to this leader.

    This is a senior position reporting to the Head of US Consumer Payments.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the overall strategy and execution of Visa's credit products and platforms in the US market, including approach to card benefits

    • Establish thought leadership and drive business plans for our product approach to affluent in the US

    • Understand the needs of US cardholders, issuers, and merchants, the economic drivers, and competitive dynamics of the credit market

    • Drive product innovation and digital transformation, developing and prioritizing new feature / functionality to enhance the value proposition of credit products

    • Manage all business and technical issues for credit, including product requirements and compliance. Engage other Visa Product and Technology teams on product functionality

    • Work with NA and Global teams in Pricing, Interchange, Product, and VAS to ensure success of our products in the US market.

    • Serve as subject matter expert and product lead for Visa's credit products in the US with issuing clients, merchants, processors and other partners. Build and maintain senior level relationships across and outside the Visa organization, including partners, vendors, and industry associations

    • Represent Visa's credit products at internal and external events, conferences, client meetings, and media interactions

    • Provide strong leadership and professional development for a team of high performing and diverse talent. Manage departmental budget, ensuring alignment with key initiatives and business priorities

    Essential Functions

    • Develop the processes and systems that enable efficient tracking, reporting, and follow up with a broad cross-functional team, including:

      • Business / strategy contributions

      • Market capability requirements

      • Performance tracking against market, regional and enterprise goals

      • Sales pipeline / Business development – across merchants, acquirers and issuers

      • Implementation – across merchants, acquirers and issuers

      • Product development

      • Operations – e.g., covering waivers, cross border, etc.

    • Responsible for managing projects / project teams and developing plans and schedules to drive deliverables to on time and on budget delivery.

    Basic Qualifications
    •12 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of
    experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8
    years of work experience with a PhD

    Preferred Qualifications
    •15-20+ years of experience within financial services – product experience and
    ownership of a credit issuing P&L a plus
    •Superior strategic thinking ability to assess complex business environments
    with evolving regulation and translate into actionable business plans and
    execution
    •Demonstrated success in directing and delivery complex lead initiatives with
    large cross-functional teams
    •Strong track record of success in managing, leading and motivating high
    performing teams
    •Proactive and effective communicator with strong executive presence. Capable
    of clearly communicating a vision to all levels of the organization with the
    ability to foster discussions, influence at senior levels, and drive alignment
    •Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing multi-year
    product roadmaps and strategy preferred
    •Discipline and resilience to push through challenges, including ability to absorb
    feedback and new information and course correct along the way
    •Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) fluency
    •Proven leadership capabilities including strong thought leadership, effective
    decision making, strategy development and ability to drive results
    •Strong collaboration and ability to manage cross functionally

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 247,300.00 to 386,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
