    Wealth Credit Management (WCM) at Citi is a newly formed business line to provide integrated end to end credit underwriting, transaction, and portfolio management in partnership with all the origination businesses of the Private Bank and Wealth Management of Citi. We are looking to hire an experienced professional to contribute and perform a management role with respect to the development and implementation of Credit Management Team (CMT) within Loan Product and Transaction Management (LPTM) in WCM. CMT will be responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the credit approval process from onboarding to credit data management activities specifically to ensure KYC compliance and quality of the credit data captured. In addition, CMT will provide another level of support as a control function to ensure credit policy and regulatory requirements are followed and addressed appropriately. The team will work closely with credit specialists and team heads to facilitate an efficient credit process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform leadership role with respect to the development of the regional team of professionals to support credit management and control activities.
    • Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations as well as Citi's Policies and Product Programs impacting the Business.
    • Manage and contribute to the creation of processes, standards, procedures, controls, training, and implementation of function across LPTM and CMT.
    • Work closely with Business Risk & Control team to provide business feedback for MCA results.
    • Capture Credit, Regulatory & Policy driven data attributes in the credit system.
    • Work with the Banking team to ensure loan parties are KYC complaint prior authorizing facility.
    • Rectify any credit data quality issue identified.
    • Verify credit memo information and data captured in credit system for absolute consistency.
    • Ensure appropriate credit approval confirmations are captured.
    • Oversee the CA and facility creation in the credit system.
    • Represent CMT on various workstreams and initiatives across PBWM
    • Ensure compliance of client regulatory information prior to the facility authorization.
    • Authorize Credit Facility Availment.
    • Institute and ensure effectiveness of controls and processes to meet internal policies and regulatory requirements/expectations.
    • Work with various stakeholders to remediate identified policy exceptions and any data related matters.
    • Contribute to and support the strategic vision for this team by enabling the implementation roadmap to execute accordingly.
    • Constructively contribute to new and existing policy and regulatory requirements across Global Wealth Management workstreams.
    • Constantly improve processes, controls and efficiencies within the group and front to back at the credit approval stage.
    • Lead projects and provide valuable input with various working groups created to enhance performance and efficiency.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and cultivating a robust control environment.

    KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    • In depth knowledge of Loan Products
    • Good understanding of Credit Memo
    • Broad knowledge of Citibank's Credit Policies, Product Programs, and Citi policies
    • Comprehensive understanding of Fair lending regulations (ECOA, HMDA...)
    • Familiarity with loan documentation structure
    • Experience in leading people and developing effective and diverse teams
    • Good understanding of KYC and AML (FinCEN) policies.
    • Strong initiative and interactive approach to problem solving
    • Demonstrated skills in building, developing, and motivating teams
    • Experience in managing large remediation efforts and meeting critical deadlines
    • Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management both within the lines of business and across multiple stakeholders
    • Highly developed analytical and decision-making capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose and execute solutions to complex problems
    • Ability to multi-task through the practice of strong organizational and time management skills with experience in continuously following-up with various stakeholders and execution team
    • Experience working with loan underwriters
    • Proven track record in establishing and maintain business line partnerships
    • Track record of establishing key operating standards and KPIs/metrics with the achievement of leading team to meeting / exceeding these standards
    • Strong influencing skills and ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years of experience in large financial institution is a must
    • Prior experience in working in a control function or credit management is a must
    • Understanding of lending rules and regulations is a must
    • Undergraduate degree is required
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Attention to detail

    • Ability to take initiative and self-motivate
    • Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Client relationship and solution skills
