We are a successful, fast growing Property & Casualty Insurance group of companies headquartered in Miami, Florida. We are looking for an experienced Underwriter I/Underwriter II to join our team. The Underwriter I/Underwriter II position is responsible for supporting the Underwriting operations in the Miami office. This position will serve as support for the Underwriting team, working under the general direction of the Underwriting Manager. Will also provide assistance and training to our Customer Service Center and Agents, in addition to supporting the day-to-day Underwriting processes. Responsibilities * Provide Underwriting/System and Procedural support to Agents and Marketing/Sales as needed on a daily basis * Communicate and resolve with Marketing/Sales on all Policy Processing and Customer Service issues that arise * Liaison for the Customer Service center as they work to answer Agent questions and provide necessary support * Provide Assistance, Direction & Training surrounding Underwriting Customer Service/Endorsement/Cancellation processes performed by Policy Processing. Includes how to handle Agent & Insured calls/submissions/exceptions and problematic issues. * Communicate any and all Underwriting and/or procedural changes to Policy Processing at the direction of the Underwriting Manager * Review and Respond to all Insured/Agent complaints made directly to the company regarding underwriting, cancellations, endorsements and customer service as directed * Process new business and endorsements as needed; review and process lists of Non-Renewals, returned mail, etc. as required; review Claim Alerts * Assist with conducting audits on the underwriting processes being completed by the Policy Processing and Customer Service

• Assist with conducting audits on all policy forms/letters/etc. that are system generated * Provide input to the Product Manager on Underwriting Guidelines, procedures & forms * Confer with Claims/Legal personnel regarding underwriting/cancellation/endorsement/agent issues as requested * Review, respond, and report to all DOI Service requests, Department of Insurance Fraud, and Agent and Agency Investigation Unit regarding underwriting, cancellations and endorsements as well as Better Business Bureau issues * Communicate any and all systems needs/changes/bugs to our IT department as directed * Other duties as needed in support of Underwriting, Systems, Sales, and Customer Service
