    Job Description

    Key Components of the role:

    • Work with cross functional teams to execute projects across the Business Unit.
    • Able to qualify and commercialize projects across a wide range of products, packaging formats, and manufacturing equipment.
    • Work with internal teams and cross functional partners to understand opportunities and build solid plans with defined deliverables.
    • Execute packaging testing, qualification and commercialization while working closely with cross-functional team members in laboratory and production environments
    • Manage multiple initiatives/R&D projects with varying scopes concurrently
    • Specification creation and updating, with attention to detail
    • Adapt and apply scientific principles to new situations/products
    • Translate research findings into meaningful business opportunities and communicate to cross-functional teams.
    • Technical capability that is able to identify potential risks, and cost considerations throughout project implementation.
    • Understand cost implications of new packaging and communicate changes to business team.
    • Highly motivated individual able to work on own initiatives and collaborate with others and cross enterprise platforms concurrently.
  • Qualifications
    • BS/MS/PhD in Packaging, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering or related field
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in Packaging Development or Research and commercialization (which can include graduate work and/or internships)
    • Basic understanding of packaging materials, functionality, qualification and commercialization of multiple packaging formats, design of experiments.
    • Excellent, written and verbal communication, and problem solving skills.
    • Experienced with MS office suit and able to work on MS teams
    • Manage multiple assignments/tasks concurrently with the ability to prioritize work for self and others.
    • Willingness to travel 30%
