  • Responsibilities

    As a Quality Intern, your responsibilities will include:

    • Analyzing samples and monitor conformance to specifications and provide technical and professional assistance to operations management as needed to support the plant’s quality goals.
    • Utilizing the following methodologies where appropriate – i.e. Project Management, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis, Effective Communication, 5S.
    • Motivate and support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with delivery and/or follow-up/verification activities as required.
    • Assist with GMP, internal, 3rd party, customer and regulatory audits when needed.
    • Demonstrating a willingness to participate in plant safety initiatives and safe laboratory practices while maintaining work environment in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
    • Perform other work as assigned by management
    • Identifying and participating in improvement activities and projects (safety, quality, service, cost reduction) and analyzing, recommending, and implementing process improvements to drive organizational effectiveness.

    The Quality Intern position is well-suited for you if you have:

    • Strong time management and organizational skills.
    • Skills to create control charts for summarizing data collection and testing performance.
    • Ability to build consensus and foster positive relationships.
    • Ability to communicate across functional lines and at all levels.
    • Ability to learn and apply Ingredion’s Safety, Environmental, GMP, and Quality standards.

    To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:

    • Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
    • Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
