  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary and Mission This job contributes to Starbucks success by performing receiving and distribution operations. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
    • Performs monthly inventory counts and reconciliations. Communicates inventory discrepancies to manager. Communicates with shipping companies, freight forwarders and field partners. Investigates and corrects discrepancies, tracks lost shipments, and schedules pick-ups for distribution. Tracks and maintains documentation of individual orders and shipping information. Enters data and maintains shipping address database.
    • Reviews orders from field partners, determines appropriateness of requests, and takes required action.
    • Reviews work orders. Pulls correct parts from inventory and packages them for shipment. Ensures orders are completed in time to meet scheduled shipping dates. Organizes and maintains warehouse and loading dock areas.
    • Supports day-to-day shipping and receiving operations. Prepares purchase orders, enters orders from field partners into computer system, reviews invoices for accuracy and approval, and provides telephone support for internal and external technical customers.
    • Compare physical attributes of pallets being inducted into the gantry with a 3-dimensional image of the pallet on the gantry induct screen.  Verify accuracy of item master and make any necessary updates in SmartMoves and Manhattan
    • Determine if pallets do not meet stated criteria to allow successful induction through the gantry and case shuttle; reject pallets if necessary
    • Serve as a back-up to the automation machine operator by operating system controls for various areas of automation
    • Track, report, and solve repeat defects
