  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Models leadership behaviors that are grounded in Starbucks Mission and Values.
    • Support the engagement and performance of all members of their team.

     

    OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supporting transportation operations:
    • Optimize, plan and route inbound vendor purchase orders to ensure efficient transportation planning.
    • Monitor transportation systems for discrepancies and incomplete activity in support of operations teams.
    • Identify, resolve and communicate routing/planning exceptions and delays.
    • Complete daily activities required to schedule and book transportation providers for the assigned area of responsibility.

     

    OPERATIONAL AND FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

    • Support freight pay and manual invoice processes.
    • Leverage functional knowledge to support developing and updating SOPs, ensuring they are kept up to date.

     

    ANALYTICS AND REPORTING

    • Report on daily / weekly / monthly desk level metrics.
    • Review data provided by vendors and 3rd party providers is timely and accurate.
    • Able to leverage systems to provide ad-hoc reporting.

  • Qualifications

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education (minimum education level, degree or certification necessary): 4-year degree
    • Skills (minimum skills required):
    • Demonstrated competency with transportation management systems (TMS) and related processes.
    • Strong ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel.
    • Working knowledge of transportation, distribution and broader supply chain concepts.
    • General business acumen.
    • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to be a team player and customer service driven.
    • Exhibits initiative and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes or work content.
    • Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills (minimum needed to be qualified): 1+

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Education (ideal education level or degree): Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management or Supply Chain/Logistics preferred. Prior experience in a customer service environment and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required. Experience in retail / CPG transportation or with a carrier preferred. Prior multi-site operations experience preferred.
