    Job Summary and Mission

    Are you a dreamer? A futurist? Do you like to ask, “why doesn’t this exist?” and go make it so? You may be the right fit for the Ordering and Delivery team and the broader Digital Customer Experience group at Starbucks.

    This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing routine support to three high-visibility and fast-paced directors who respectively drive the Product Discovery and Customization, Ordering and Delivery teams. You will be supporting directors who collectively manage +15 partners and are responsible for delivering highly cross-functional programs. This role provides administrative support and occasional project support to multiple team members in addition to the core three directors.

    All the while the candidate will model and act in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

    Summary of Key Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Manages calendars and schedules meetings for the directors and their teams
    • Provides support for meetings, training, seminars and activities for department
    • Coordinates routine projects that support department or functional initiatives
    • Supports the implementation of processes to improve workflow, organization and communication
    • Serves as a point of contact for departmental inquiries and responds or escalates as appropriate
    • Assists with on boarding of new partners
    • Performs administrative tasks or projects such as tracking budgets, invoice coding, tracking travel expenses, generating reports and identifying variances, updating databases, etc.
    • May manage large mailings or distribution of materials
    • Schedules or coordinates business travel as needed
    • Organizes and maintains filing systems, both electronic and physical
    • Maintains regular and punctual attendance
    • May proofread functionally specific materials for accuracy including copy, grammar and layout
    • May prepare charts, tables, graphs and other presentation materials to support functional work
    • May sort and distribute mail
    • May order and replenish department/team supplies
    • Other duties as necessary

    Summary of Experience Years

    • Project related support or equivalent 1-2 years
    • General office administration 1-2 years
    • Fast-paced environment 1-2 years
    • Customer service 1-2 years

    Basic Qualifications

    • Fluency in Microsoft Office as calendaring client
    • High School diploma/GED
    • 1 or more year(s) of experience in a role performing administrative assistant or coordinator job functions
    • 6 or more months of experience in a role providing general administrative support to others
    • Interest and availability to work fixed hours in an office environment
