Work Site Location 304 Albemarle Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23322 Salary $34,098/yr Job Description Supervises or leads subordinate personnel, including training, scheduling, assigning and evaluating work. Maintains VCIN/NCIC file system and assists with cross checking VCIN entries for accuracy. Enters data into the Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN). Assists with ensuring that all staff certifications are maintained and re-certifications are scheduled accordingly. Trains department personnel and outside agencies in VCIN certifications. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves VCIN issues. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Requires high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education. EXPERIENCE In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of two years of related, full-time equivalent experience. SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES Requires an "A" level VCIN operator certification. Must be able to obtain a VCIN instructor certification within two years. Must be a United States citizen or a lawful resident for the past 10 consecutive years. Requires a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards. Preferred Qualifications Prior Law Enforcement experience, Knowledge of VA State Codes, VCIN and NCIC, Experience with Outlook and Microsoft software.
