Vacancies currently available in the following department(s): 311 Call Center Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION: * High school diploma or GED. EXPERIENCE: * Three (3) years customer service experience involving heavy phone contact and data entry. OTHER REQUIREMENT(S): * Availability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY(IES):. * Knowledge of MS Office or similar software skills. * Ability to interpret policies, and follow established procedures/guidelines. * Ability to use a computer keyboard with sufficient speed to meet job demands. * Ability to use effective communication and listening skills PREFERENCE(S): * English/Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred. 311 CALL CENTER: The call center takes non-emergency (80%) and emergency (20%) calls and is a twenty-four/seven (24/7) operation. The ideal candidate is an experienced customer service representative who has excellent communication and customer service skills (call center experience would be an advantage). PERFORMANCE EXAM: * Description: Exam covers data entry (audio), spelling, reading comprehension, sentence clarity, cross-referencing (audio), prioritization, and call summarization skills. * Time Limit: N/A * ***Please note: The CritiCall exam for this position can only be taken two (2) times within a twelve (12) month period. * PICTURE I.D.
