Today, City Light is a recognized national leader in energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. Seattle City Light has an opportunity for a safety-focused, detail-oriented Assistant Power Dispatcher to join the System Operations Center. Under supervision, the Assistant Power Dispatcher will receive training in how to monitor and coordinate the Seattle City Light electrical distribution system for voltages up to and including 34.5 KV. This position will receive substantial training in safety methods and practices associated with dispatching work, in part, by conducting field visits to investigate problems, verify equipment status, properly identify locations of equipment failures and carry out related field duties.
