    Job Description

    This position will provide administrative support within the Administrative Services Unit (ASU). This position will report directly to the MDO Chief Administrative Officer.

    Essential Functions

    The ASU Administrative Coordinator will perform the following duties:

    • Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding process.
    • Handle employee requests for: travel, carpool, parking placards, meeting rooms and touchdown space.
    • Act as MDO Liaison to OIT for laptop, cellphone and printer/copier issues.
    • Act as the custodian for MDO petty cash account.
    • Assist with departmental inventory management and e-waste disposal.
    • Perform other administrative duties as required.

    Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge of:

    • The use of a computer, copier, scanner, and printer
    • Microsoft Office Suite Software
    • City systems (FAMIS, ADPICS, ACIS, and OnePhilly) recommended, but not required.

    Skills:

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to:

    • Learn departmental functions, policies, and procedures.
    • Understand and follow written and/or oral directions.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental staff, administrative officials, and the public.
    • Maintain accurate and complete records.

    Work-Life

    Working hours are generally 37.5 hours per week. Our team is currently hybrid with both remote and in-office days; however, the position can opt to come in the office each day if desired. All Administrative Services Unit (ASU) Staff are required to work in the office at least two (2) days per week.

    ** Preferred Education and Experience:**

    • Education equivalent to the completion of 12th grade
    • Four (4) years of advanced level clerical or administrative experience at a governmental agency or non-profit organization.

    Salary Range: $50,000 - $57,000
