    Project Management Assistant City of Phoenix 163 reviews - Phoenix, AZ Contract JOB REQUIREMENTS Project Management Assistants must be able to interact both with private developers and their staffs as well as with representatives of other City departments involved in a particular program or projects. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Deputy Director, Economic Development Program Manager, Project Manager, or other professional level staff and requires initiative and good judgment. Essential functions include: * Monitors contracts, performs contract summaries, interacts with business partners and coordinates project meetings; * Assists project teams to ensure completion of projects within budget, schedule and in conformance with specifications; * Monitors contractual obligations and performance benchmarks; * Analyzes, interprets, and writes reports of research findings; * Assists in tracking project budgets and expenditures; * Works with other departments to facilitate project implementations. Depending on assignment, other functions may include: * Supervise program support staff * Procure products and services Currently, there are three positions in the Neighborhood Services Department. The Revitalization Division has one position each in the Community Development and the Housing Rehabilitation sections, and the Neigborhood Preservation Divison has one with the Graffiti Busters Program. This recruitment may be used by any department for any current or future vacancies over the life of the eligible list. SALARY $21.48 (minimum) - $31.98 (maximum) hourly $44,678 - $66,518 annually. Comprehensive benefits package includes: 11.5 paid holidays, 12 vacation days, 15 sick days, free bus/light rail pass, traditional pension and 457/401 plans, tuition reimbursement upon hire, choice of Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Cigna HMO, PPO. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The job requirements listed above, plus: * Experience with contract preparation or transaction documents. (All positions) * Experience with working with Federal Grants (CDBG, HOME, NSP, etc.) (Community Development & Housing Rehabilitation positions) * Proficiency in Word, Excel to perform research, compiling data and analysis. (All positions) * Experience in the procurement of products or services. (Graffiti Busters position) * Experience in supervising support staff.
