    Description & Requirements

    Maximus is currently seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to support the Illinois SALT program. The Clinical Operations Manager will supervise the SMHRF pre-admission assessors and the SMHRF CSR assessors. The manager will also be required to complete 3 SMHRF and 3 CSR assessments quarterly.

    *Travel to the Maximus Wabash office and to all SMHRF sites quarterly required. Possible travel to observe assessments in hospitals and SMHRFs. Mileage is reimbursed.

    About the program: We have contracted with the State of Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) to manage the assessment process for Preadmission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) Level I screens and completing Level II Serious Mental Illness (SMI) evaluations for individuals applying to, or residing in, Medicaid-certified nursing facilities. Other services include Follow Up Visits, admissions support for Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facilities (SMHRF) and Supported Living Programs (SLP) settings and Colbert Dementia Review. Continues to expand assessment services in the state.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • May serve as an individual contributor or supervises an assigned team of employees
    • Responsible for managing, planning, implementing, and tracking moderate and low risk projects related to company business following strict timelines.
    • May serve as an individual contributor or will provide supervision for a designated project team.
    • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on a clinical or related area of project scope
    • Manages business projects related to efficiency, quality and risk management.
    • May be required to manage areas of client and stakeholder communication
    • Work with Operations and shared services to meet project needs.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Knowledge and experience managing budgets and fiscal reporting
    • Experience with basic project management principles such as scope and contract management
    • Experience with process improvement, business process management and quality preferred
    • Subject Matter Expertise in related program or project scope area

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or relevant experience in lieu of degree- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
    • Master's degree
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with individuals in medical and/or behavioral health settings
    • Licensed in IL or compact license as an LCSW, LMFT, LMSW or Licensed in the Healing Arts
    • IM+CANS certification (if not currently certified, required to become certified within three weeks of employment start date
    • Strong supervisory experience that focuses on quality and productivity
    • Knowledge of SMHRF or/and learning of this facility type
    • Strong mental health and assessment experience, with community resources
    • Current knowledge and understanding of medical and/or behavioral health diagnoses and prescribed medications

    Pay Transparency

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
