Intensive In-Home Counselor Commonwealth Clinical & Consulting Services (CCCS) - Hampton Roads, VA Full-time, Part-time Commonwealth Clinical & Consulting Services is currently accepting resumes for self-motivated, hard working individuals who have a passion for working with at-risk children and their families. APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: EXPERIENCE IN COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES IS PREFERRED "Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C)" means a person in the human services field who is trained and experienced in providing psychiatric or mental health services to children who have a mental illness. To qualify as a QMHP-C, the individual must have the designated clinical experience and must either: (i) be a doctor of medicine or osteopathy licensed in Virginia;(ii) have a master's degree in psychology from an accredited college or university with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents;(iii) have a social work bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with at least one year of documented clinical experience with children or adolescents;(iv) be a registered nurse with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents;(v) have at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field or in special education from an accredited college with at least one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents, or(vi) be a licensed mental health professional. Clinical experience means providing direct services to individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, or receiving gerontology or special education services. It includes supervised internships, practicums, and field experience. A human services field includes social work, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, and human services counseling. Provide family focused intensive in-home counseling for client and family. Establish rapport with client and family. Reduce the risk of out of home placement. Assist with strategies and interventions in developing coping skills.24 hour crisis intervention. Linking and collaborating with other service providers(schools, psychologist,psychiatric and social services and all other mental health providers). Attend mandatory individual supervision and group supervision biweekly with clinician. Will need to be certified in TOVA and CPR/First Aid but not a requirement prior to employment. Submit all progress notes weekly. Complete ISP, Quarterly Reports, and Discharge Summaries. Provide written documentations of individual and family sessions. Able to be on-call for crisis 24/7. Ability to have a flexible schedule. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Google Drive is extremely desired. Must have desire to work with challenging clients and/or families.
