The Corporate Communications department at MAXIMUS is responsible for global communications (internal communications, public and media relations, investor and analyst relations), as well as branding and marketing. The department operates under the goal of best positioning the Company's mission, vision, message and global brand. We are looking for an Investor Relations & Communications Intern who will report to the Senior Manager of Investor Relations & Corporate Communications and provide direct support to the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations & Corporate Communications.

Essential Duties

• Peer review documents and website materials for grammar, content and style of writing
• Create unique content for internal and external communication pieces that represent the Company or the MAXIMUS Foundation
• Take lead in coordinating local employee engagement activities, supporting nonprofit partners with guidance from the Senior Manager of the MAXIMUS Foundation and Corporate Responsibility
• Opportunity to research, propose, and implement a related project to completion during the length of the internship

• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services
• Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
