Customer Service Representative (Onsite in New York City)

ABOUT THE NEW YORK INDEPENDENT ASSESSOR (NYIA)
New York Independent Assessor (NYIA), formerly known as the Conflict Free Evaluation and Enrollment Center (CFEEC), is a program that assesses people who have chronic illnesses or disabilities for their eligibility for community based long term services and supports and assists them to enroll in Managed Long Term Care health plans
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Respond to enrollment service calls
Provide responses to inquiries and mails information in response to request
Refer callers in the event of problems or concerns
Educate clients on managed care
Assess client’s health care needs and assists clients in choosing a health plan
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior work experience in customer service, data entry and/or processing
Effective communication skills and ability to follow directions
Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a variety of people
Ability to handle pressure and perform multiple tasks
Must be able to (at minimum) type 35 WPM
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as Excel, Power Point, and Word
Preferred language proficiencies (written and verbal comprehension) in either Russian, Spanish, Bengali, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation shall be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Min: USD $17.00/hr. - Max: USD $18.00/hr.
