    Job Description

    Position Summary

    Versatile professional skilled in both front-end and back-end development. The employee will be responsible for developing and designing front-end web architecture and working on issues that will be critical to the success of the projects assigned. Additionally, the employee will need to work with the data team to ensure that projects are conceptualized and evolve to their highest degree of functionality and performance and optimize existing systems.

    High level of competency in both front-end and back-end languages. Skilled in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Next.js, and Node.js. Candidates must have experience working with APIs. Understanding various database management systems such as Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL.

    Essential Functions

    ** The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.**

    • Develop, test, and maintain web applications with a focus on performance and user experience.
    • Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs.
    • Develop and maintain web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js ) and create responsive UIs.
    • Develop and optimize server-side logic using Node.js, Python, .NET, or other backend technologies.
    • Integrate applications with databases (Oracle/SQL/NoSQL) and optimize data storage and retrieval.
    • Ensure security, data protection, and performance best practices.
    • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define technical requirements.
    • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.

    ** MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:**

    Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
    • Experience with front-end frameworks like React and other technologies.
    • Knowledge of backend frameworks such as Node.js, Next.js or .NET.
    • Experience working with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
    • Familiarity with databases (Oracle, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
    • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
    • Experience with version control systems like Git.
    • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. ****
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

    Qualifications

    1. A bachelor's degree in computer science, programming or a related field from an accredited college or university.
    2. Six to nine years of progressively responsible professional or technical experience in management analysis and improvement, computer programming, computer systems analysis or design, or in office or program management work involving electronic data processing activities.
    3. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
    4. Familiarity with microservices architecture.
    5. Understanding of serverless computing.
    6. Knowledge of agile development methodologies
    7. After meeting minimum standards, successful completion of a panel review and interview process.
    8. Must successfully complete a criminal background investigation.
    9. Ability to perform the essential functions of a position in this class.
    10. Covid-19 Vaccination is recommended.
    11. Must work on site (not remote).

    Salary Range: $94,068 - $105,130
