    Job Description

    Conducting Photo Enforced Red Light, Speed Camera, and Code Violation hearings.

    1. 1. Handling in-person hearings and rendering decisions
      
    2. Administratively reviewing hearings based on documentation submitted.
    3. Reviewing documents for approval of late fee waivers and other administrative issues
    4. Handling customer service issues in regards to red-light, speed camera and code violations.
    5. Performing such other tasks as may be, from time to time as required by the Office of Administrative Review- Tax Review Board- such as answering the phones, fielding questions, and in- take for customer service.
    

    Essential Functions

    The successful candidate will be able to evaluate documents and testimony to, within applicable law, render decisions and communicate the decision to the party making the appeal.

    Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    All hearings require the use of the ticket data bases for research of imaged documents, photographs, the transactional history, the citation itself and the entry of the Hearing Officer’s decision to uphold, reduce or dismiss any charges.

    Ability to quickly obtain information from a relational data base; have good personal computer and keyboard skills.

    Ability to familiarize, understand and retain knowledge of certain regulations and rules regarding administrative hearings subjects such as the red-light camera and speed camera enforcement codes, and code violations.

    Ability to note decisions in a clear, concise language which are obtained as part of public record.

    Applicants must have:

    A high school diploma; Bachelor’s Degree a plus.

    Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    Ability to work and make sound decisions in a stressful and very fast paced environment.
