    Job Description

    Position Summary

    CEO is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Support Coordinator who will play a key role in providing support for all areas of departmental IT and Telephony. The IT Support Coordinator will support and maintain departmental telephonic and computer systems, desktops, and peripherals including installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, reporting on and inventory controls, and upgrading hardware, software and electronic equipment to ensure optimal availability and security of these resources. This position will report to the Director of Operations.

    Essential Functions

    IT Support

    • Perform on-site and remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed.
    • Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed.
    • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, telephonic devices and other products in order to deliver required desktop service levels. Assist with servers, LAN/WAN technologies, computer repair/troubleshooting software, networks, virus protection, Wi-Fi technology, and more. Ensure that desktop connections, ie. network jacks are in proper working order.
    • Maintain inventories and distribution lists of all hardware, software, peripherals, telephonic and electronic equipment.
    • Keep systems and hardware including printing and copier machines, up-to-date through operating systems and security upgrades and troubleshoot as necessary for daily operations.
    • Monitor WIFI, Hotspot, web performance, network availability, and security. Evaluate connectivity issues, equipment, and software.
    • Respond to IT issues; hardware maintenance, software, networking, etc.
    • Collaborate with departmental units to ensure efficient operation of desktop and mobile computing environment. Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation and network software products.
    • Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
    • Facilitate new hardware and software deployments.
    • Conduct survey of areas for deployment of agency staff and subcontractors.
    • Daily updating ticketing software and maintain IT support software for effective communications to end users and optimal use and monitoring of ticket standard length of completion timelines as outlined by OIT.

    Planning & Inter-departmental functions

    • Assist in developing departmental strategies and capacity planning for meeting present and future IT, Telephonic and electronic needs.
    • Construct, install, and test customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems. Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features.
    • Support development, procurement, and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
    • Act as primary liaison between the Department and external IT-support departments and vendors including OIT.

    Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, and upgrades.
    • Excellent knowledge of PC internal components.
    • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
    • Extensive equipment support experience.
    • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
    • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
    • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation and OEM guides.
    • Experience working with desktop, network and server management support.
    • Sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods of time.
    • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and other computer components.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Trade school degree or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred.
    • CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+ certification or other related IT professional certification; meet all state required licensure/certification, and/or 3 years work experience in related field.
    • A valid PA Driver’s license is required.

    Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
