INVESTMENT DIVISION? The Wage & Investment Division (W&I) serves about
122 million taxpayers who file upwards of 94 million returns each year.
Key W&I objectives are to provide high-quality taxpayer assistance, and
to enable taxpayers to transact and communicate electronically to file
their returns, make payments and receive assistance. W&I partners with
private organizations to provide assistance to such disadvantaged groups
as elderly and low-income taxpayers. If selected you will work as a
student trainee, GS-399-01 in the Wage & Investment Division. 90 part
time positions Not to Exceed (NTE) 1 Year, may be extended without
further posting. Tour of Duty: 5 pm - 9 pm; more hours and/or more
flexible work schedule may be available during school breaks (e.g., 7:30
am - 4 pm). 30 positions located in Covington, KY and 60 positions
located in Florence, KY. Responsibilities As a Student Trainee NTE
Intern in a developmental capacity, you will: * Receive, record, sort,
batch, associate, control, stage, collect, mail, extract and distribute
incoming/outgoing work. * Maintain, update, and purge suspense/closed
files; examine and perfect documents; determine header data and number
return/documents. * Perform a variety of administrative tasks using an
automated system which involves: inputting, assigning, maintaining,
monitoring, or updating work status and inventory records; administering
and performing other support activity. * Assist technician/specialist in
collecting, organizing and maintaining program and/or functional

- Qualifications You must meet the following requirements by the closing
date of this announcement. BASIC REQUIREMENT: GS-1 LEVEL: To qualify for
the grade 1 level, you must be 16 years of age, this is the minimum age
allowed for Federal employment. In addition to the above requirement,
