Position Summary
The City of Philadelphia Board of Pensions and Retirement, with assets of approximately $8 billion, is seeking an Investment Officer II. An Investment Officer II is a mid-level analyst position performing financial analysis in public and private markets. The Investment Officer II will report directly to the Deputy Chief Investment Officer and work closely with a nine-member Board of Trustees.
Duties and Responsibilities
Portfolio structuring within the assigned asset class(es). This includes, but is not limited to
Recommending appropriate strategies within the asset class(es)
Asset classes to include public equities, fixed income, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure
Recommending the appropriate number of investments per annum to reach the Board’s target allocation
Recommending appropriate commitments for each manager
Drafting requests for proposals ("RFPs) where required
Monitoring market, industry and asset class trends
Evaluating and recommending managers within the assigned asset class(es). This includes, but is not limited to:
Responsible for monitoring the investment managers within the assigned asset class(es). This includes, but is not limited to:
Additional duties may include (but are not limited to):
● Assist with data reconciliation, operations and other key “back-office” functions

Salary Range: $67,500- $85,000
