    MBI Health Services has an opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team at our Hunt location in the District of Colombia. Provides support to the Human Resources Department.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Human Resource Department in greeting potential applicants using outstanding customer service skills
    • Assist the Human Resource Manager in the administration of the Pre-employment screening testing for HHA, LPN, RNS,
    • Assures employment related forms are copied and an adequate stock is maintained
    • Assist the Human Resources Manager in completing previous employment verification using the standardized agency form/tool
    • Compiles required information for the Human Resource personnel file
    • Assist the Human Resources Manager in contacting staff for new hire orientation
    • Greets the new employees during the new hire orientation
    • Updating Human Resource Spread sheet to monitor compliance with state, federal regulations.
    • Files Human Resources documentation to assure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
    • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Staff
    • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
    • Provide ongoing support for new hire orientation i.e. identification badges, follow up on required documentation
    • Compile and update employee records (hard copies and Paycom/Payroll system).
    • Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2 years college or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
    • Willingness to work with a team that provides outstanding health care
    • Experience with Microsoft word and excel.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
    • Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular)
    • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
    • Familiarity with ATS software and resume databases
    • Basic knowledge of labor laws
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
